Newcastle International Airport users are set to benefit from increased services to Aberdeen, Southampton, Cardiff and Stavanger.
Eastern Airways will add an extra flight to its Aberdeen service as of today (Monday, March 3rd), bringing the total number of weekday flights to six per day, while daily departures to Southampton will be increased to four.
The introduction of a larger Saab 2000 aircraft will provide greater seat capacity on flights to both destinations.
In addition, from April 7th 2008, Eastern Airways will offer three flights each weekday from Newcastle to Cardiff and two daily flights to Stavanger in Norway.
Chris Holliday, chief operating officer of Eastern Airways, commented: "Business commuters want punctual, convenient flights specifically timed to suit their travel patterns and our increased services from Newcastle enable us to provide a comprehensive schedule to meet their needs and expectations.
"To complement these additional services we have introduced excellent value lower one-way fares, which will also appeal to leisure travellers."
