Iceland Express celebrates milestone with show at Stansted

Iceland Express celebrates milestone with show at StanstedIceland Express, which operates 11 flights a week between Stansted Airport and Reykjavik, celebrated its five-year anniversary last week.

To mark the occasion, Stansted Airport hosted a special performance for children featuring Sportacus, the star of LazyTown Live!.

Nick Barton, business development and planning director at Stansted, said that the airport was "delighted" to help Iceland Express celebrate the milestone.

He added: "Iceland is in the world's top ten of 'must see' destinations and with Iceland Express set to add more flights to its schedule from Stansted…this service to Reykjavik will continue to prove extremely popular with both our business and leisure passengers alike.

"Iceland Express sits alongside other airlines such as Norwegian, Air Berlin, Atlantic Airways and Turkish Airlines - all European based carriers who have started and grown successful links from Stansted in recent years.

"We're looking forward to helping Iceland Express build on the success of the past five years and support them as they continue to grow their business from Stansted."
