Newcastle International Airport announced today (Monday, March 10th) the opening of a new catering facility at its airside departures lounge.
Users of the airport will benefit from the new Eagle Bar Diner, the first to be located outside of London, which offers a New York diner-style experience.
Customers will be able to choose from a range of freshly-prepared culinary goodies, including brownies, speciality burgers, salads and steaks.
Eagle Bar Diner also offers wines, bottled and draught beer, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks and a range of other beverages.
Nicola Boulter, head of commercial at Newcastle International Airport, commented: "We're delighted to be the first airport in the UK - and in fact the world - to welcome Eagle Bar Diner to our departure lounge.
"The Diner's excellent food, classy cocktails and swift table service are sure to prove popular with passengers who are looking for a relaxed restaurant experience before they fly."
