New air link between Cardiff and Newquay

New air link between Cardiff and NewquayCardiff Airport users can now take advantage of a new service to Newquay, which was launched yesterday (Monday, March 10th), the Western Mail has reported.

According to the newspaper, Skybus have introduced a once-daily service operating Monday to Friday, which offers seats for up to 16 passengers.

Airline executives say that the service will provide an attractive alternative to the four-hour drive between Wales and Cornwall.

The journey lasts 40 minutes and return fares start at £70.

Jeff Marston, chief executive of the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company, the operator of Skybus, commented: "We know the route has been really popular in the past with another airline operating the route during 2005 through to 2007.

"We are delighted to reinstate the flights and offer a convenient, reliable and quick service for the people of Wales and Cornwall."
