Humberside Airport the capital of romance

Humberside Airport the capital of romanceRomantic Robert Szabo came up with an original idea when he decided to propose to his childhood sweetheart Sarah Garside.

Foregoing the traditional bended-knee-on-top-of-the-Eiffel-tower scenario, he decided instead to head for Humberside International Airport.

Under the impression that the pair were simply going for a pleasurable jaunt in the sky with their pilot friend, Sarah was taken by surprise when they flew over a gigantic heart-shaped marriage proposal ploughed as a crop design in a nearby field.

Mr Szabo dreamed up the idea after seeing some of his brother's 'field art' as he works in software for farming technology.

He told the Daily Mail: "I had seen some of his plough art a few months ago and it got me thinking.

"I came up with the idea and mentioned it to James and his friend who is a pilot and they thought it was a good idea so James came up with the plans, I signed them off and then we made it happen."

A thrilled Ms Garside said: "My hand flew over my mouth, I couldn't believe it. I was in shock. When I caught my breath, I said yes and then went to look at the heart again."
