Bmi opens Heathrow international lounge

Budget airline bmi has announced the opening of a new international lounge at Heathrow Airport.
Dubbed bmi Number One Heathrow, the facility will offer the carrier's customers free wireless internet access, a bar, restaurant, lounge chairs and day beds.
Travellers will also be provided with free ice cream from Mark Hix, including the popular credit crunch recipe of caramel and honeycomb chocolate.
It is open to gold and silver Diamond Club members, bmi business class passengers and Star Alliance gold customers.
Located near gate five at terminal one, the lounge is geared towards "providing a sense of comfort and familiarity" for its customers.
Bmi is currently the second largest airline at Heathrow Airport and operates 1,600 flights a week across its full network.
It currently offers routes from London to numerous international locations, including Stockholm, Brussels, Belfast City and New York Newark, its website states.
