Aer Lingus announces winter Gatwick flightsIrish carrier Aer Lingus has announced the addition of new flights from Gatwick Airport.

From October 25th, the airline will run flights from the London based to Tenerife, Bucharest, Eindhoven, Warsaw and Lanzarote, bringing its total number of routes to 13.

The operator will also start a service from Gatwick to Vilnius in Lithuania.

Aer Lingus corporate affairs director Enda Corneille commented: "To give our customers a greater choice in destinations, we've introduced six new routes which are popular with travellers during the winter months - perfect for anyone looking to escape the British winter."

In other airline news, Manx2 has announced a new service between Belfast International and Blackpool airports will begin next month.

The twice-daily service will operate six days a week from July 6th and is aimed at commuters and business travellers.

It will replace Loganair's services to the Irish travel hub, which announced its withdrawal from Blackpool Airport after two months of operations.
