Austrian Airlines to shift Heathrow operation to terminal oneAustrian Airlines will be moving to terminal one at Heathrow Airport from Tuesday (June 16th), it has been announced.

The carrier states that from next week, it will be based at check-in zone K at the London airport's primary terminal.

It is thought that the move will be accompanied by a new departure and security line reserved for passengers of the operator, while a new fast-track lane for top tier travellers will also be introduced.

Austrian Airlines offers international flights from its bases at Heathrow, Leeds Bradford, Nottingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow airports.

Meanwhile, Irish carrier Aer Lingus has announced the addition of new flights from Gatwick Airport.

From October 25th, the airline will operate new services from the London base to Tenerife, Bucharest, Eindhoven, Warsaw and Lanzarote, bringing its total number of routes to 13.

The operator will also start a service from Gatwick to Lithuanian capital Vilnius.
