Palmair to launch new routes from Exeter AirportPalmair is set to launch two new flights from Exeter Airport this winter, it has announced.

The operator will commence routes to Tunisia and Fuerteventura from the beginning of November until March 2010.

Exeter Airport managing director Jamie Christon commented on the new services: "Despite the gloomy economic conditions, these new routes may be an indicator of better times ahead and I am confident that these flights will sell out quickly.

"This is great news for the airport team and for those wanting to fly to guaranteed sunshine this winter."

Palmair was voted Britain's most popular short haul carrier in a Holiday Which? survey last year.

Elsewhere in airport news, five airlines have moved from Heathrow Airport's terminal two to the newly-refurbished terminal one, it has been reported.

Star Alliance group carriers Austrian Airlines, Croatia Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS and TAP are now based at a new branded check-in area with self-service kiosks and a separate security line.
