Bristol Airport swamped with Glastonbury-goersBristol International Airport has been swamped by festival-goers bound for the world-famous Glastonbury.

The festival, which has been hit by severe rain over the last two years, has attracted thousands of ticket holders into the airport and will experience a similar rush on Sunday and Monday as music lovers leave the Somerset site.

According to This is Somerset, the airport has even installed a wellington boot washer - a "big vat of water" that bosses are encouraging muddy passengers to use.

Airport terminal general manager Alison Roberts told the website: "While we hope the sun shines this time, we have learned from previous years to be prepared for an influx of muddy passengers following the festival.

"If it does rain, the welly washer will help keep them and the airport clean."

Some 170,000 people attend the festival annually and this year the line-up boasts performances from Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Blur, The Prodigy and Ray Davies.
