Ryanair launches new East Midlands routes to Barcelona and Palma

Budget airline Ryanair launched two new services to Spain yesterday (July 1st).
The new services link East Midlands Airport at Castle Donington with Reus Airport in Barcelona and Palma, This is Nottingham reports.
According to the newspaper, the operator will also restart flights to Rimini and cancel its route from East Midlands to Paris due to under-performance.
The airline announced the new routes in March.
Around five million people use East Midlands Airport every year, its website reports.
Meanwhile, rival firm easyJet announced yesterday that it will open new routes from Manchester Airport to the Danish capital of Copenhagen.
The carrier is hoping to double its number of weekly flights between the two travel hubs from three to six this autumn.
