easyJet to launch Luton to Tel Aviv routeLow-cost carrier easyJet has announced plans to launch a new service from London Luton Airport to Tel Aviv in Israel.

The six-times-weekly service will run every day except Friday and is scheduled to begin on November 2nd.

Passengers will have the option of low-cost travel between the two cities for the first time with the launch of the new flights.

Pini Shani of the Israel ministry of tourism commented: "It is fantastic news that the capacity for visitors to Tel Aviv is being increased so substantially with the introduction of six more flights a week to the destination by easyJet."

"This welcome investment into tourism to Israel by this leading low cost airline will undoubtedly be of benefit to the consumer and grow visitor figures to Tel Aviv from the London area."

Customers can now book tickets for the November flights on the easyJet website from £103 return including taxes and charges.

EasyJet recently announced that it will release its tickets in four seasonal blocks rather than two.

Flights can now be booked from the UK up to the end of June 2010.
