Bristol Airport passengers advised to check in early

Bristol Airport passengers advised to check in earlyPassengers flying from Bristol International Airport have been advised to arrive at the travel hub with enough time to check in and pass through security checks.

Airport bosses have stated that those travelling from the airport should arrive an hour and a half before they are scheduled to fly, while those checking in online or using self-service machines ought to allocate 45 minutes to passing through security.

The number of individuals using Bristol International Airport is at its highest level so far this year, with traffic on many routes returning to 2008 levels.

James Gore, head of communications at Bristol International Airport, said: "The terminal team is working hard to keep any queues moving quickly, but leaving it late to check-in or clear security can create problems and could mean running the risk of missing a flight."

"By arriving early, passengers can help to ensure that the airport continues to provide a pleasant starting point, whether travelling for leisure or on business," Mr Gore added.

Travellers flying with Air France, Air Southwest, OLT, KLM, Aurigny and Eastern can check in at the airport themselves, while those with Ryanair and easyJet can do so online before arriving at the facility.

Around 538,000 people used Bristol International Airport in June this year, its website reports.
