Loganair reports growth in Cardiff to Aberdeen route
A new flight that launched at Cardiff Airport earlier this year has boosted passenger numbers, it has been reported.
According to Flybe franchise Loganair, the carrier served over 1,000 travellers last month (July) on its Cardiff to Aberdeen route, a third consecutive monthly growth since the introduction of the service in April.
Jonathan Hinkles, Loganair commercial director, said: "In addition to the strong business links between the two regions, our customer research has shown that the route is proving popular with a wider variety of travellers from those working offshore to tourists and those visiting friends and relatives.
"This is a superb result during our third full month of operation, especially given that July is traditionally a quieter time for business travel."
Loganair operates six daily return flights per week on the route, with fares starting from £59.99 one way.
The carrier offers flights from several UK airports, including Birmingham, Exeter, Gatwick, Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds Bradford.
