Blue Air Luton to Bacau route extendedA new flight from London Luton Airport will launch this winter, it has been revealed.

Blue Air will begin the twice weekly service to Bacau in Romania following the popularity of the route since it began in June this year.

Seats on the Boeing 737 flights are now available online for early booking.

"Low fares flying continues to make business and leisure travel increasingly accessible to millions of Europeans and the continuation of this now year-round service to Bacau provides yet more choice for our passengers," Simon Harley, London Luton airline manager, said.

Bacau is located in the heart of the historic region of Moldavia, at the foot of the Carpathian mountains.

Luton Airport carried around ten million passengers to 95 international destinations in 2008.

Other airlines operating at the travel hub include easyJet, Wizz Air, Thomson, Ryanair, Aer Arann and Flybe.
