Etihad Airways announces new premium passenger lounge at HeathrowEtihad Airways will open a new premium passenger lounge at Heathrow Airport this month, it has been revealed.

The United Arab Emirates carrier will open the facility in line with new operations at terminals three and four on September 4th.

Passengers with first or business class tickets will be granted access to the new lounge, as well as those holding Etihad gold and silver cards.

The facility will feature a spa, dining area, business centre, prayer room, seating area and shower rooms.

"We are proud that we will soon be offering one of the best customer lounges available at London Heathrow," Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways chief commercial officer, said.

Mr Baumgartner added that the lounge "represents a major investment and demonstrates the airline's continuing commitment to deliver world-class premium products and services to its first and business class customers on the ground as well as in the air".

In related news, the carrier recently launched its new first class suite on flights between Abu Dhabi and Heathrow.

The new product, installed on the airline's Airbus A340-600s, includes a large leather seat that extends into an 80-inch bed.
