09/09/2009
Thomson has launched a new website that allows customers to plan activities abroad before they leave home.
Thomson Excursions is open to everyone, whether or not they have booked a flight with the airline, and currently offers deals in 55 international destinations.
According to the carrier, which operates from a number of UK airports including Manchester, Birmingham and Aberdeen, the new site offers excursions with a sustainable, community focus, including conservation projects.
For example, customers can fly to Zakynthos and join a cruise to Turtle Island, where workers from the Turtle Protection League will teach them about the reptiles and their environment.
Customers can book online or over the phone to ensure their tickets arrive with them before they set off on their travels.
Thomson works with 65,000 hotels, apartments and villas in 100 destinations worldwide.
The airline operates at 24 UK airports and was established more than 40 years ago, its website states.
