Holiday review website launched

Passengers flying from UK airports may be interested in a new holiday reviews website.

The Big Picture Direct is an independently-administrated website that allows holidaymakers to share their experiences of a particular resort, hotel or destination.

Photos can also be uploaded to give an up-to-date account of a place catalogued on the website.

Travellers leaving Heathrow Airport for their dream holiday may first wish to assess their destination using the website.

Steve Barrass, Direct Holidays managing director, said: "Reading about others' experiences before travelling can make the difference between a good or bad holiday.

"We want our customers to have the perfect holiday experience each time they travel with us and don't believe this starts and stops at the airport."

So far, the Big Picture Direct boasts more than 500 reviews of resorts in a number of holiday destinations, including Egypt, Turkey, Florida and the Dominican Republic.

The website also features 'best for' sections, recommending places and activities for adults, children, families, couples and other groups.

Its top ten destinations include Majorca, Ibiza and Greece.
