Wizz Air reschedules Luton to Bucharest service
By Sam Lock.
Low-cost carrier Wizz Air has announced the rescheduling of its flights between London Luton and Bucharest's Baneasa Airport.
According to the airline, a night curfew has been implemented at Baneasa Airport between 00:00 and 07:00 GMT, beginning this Sunday (October 25th).
This curfew has forced the company to reschedule many of its early morning flights up to December 16th, with Christmas routes also expected to be altered.
Wizz Air's 06:00 service from Bucharest to London Luton will run at 07:55, while the return trip, formerly beginning at 07:55, will now leave England at 08:50.
The airline commented: "Passengers will be contacted by the call centre and informed about the changes.
"The company has done its utmost to minimise the effects of the retiming on passengers and operations."
Other Bucharest services that are affected include those to Milan Bergamo, Rome Ciampino, Dortmund, Valencia, Barcelona, Brussels and Naples.
Meanwhile, Wizz Air recently launched a new service from Gdansk to Paris Beauvais, priced at 22.49 euros (£20).
