EasyJet begins Canary Island routes from Liverpool Airport
Low-cost carrier easyJet launched new services from Liverpool John Lennon Airport yesterday (November 2nd).
Served by a brand new Airbus 320 aircraft, the new routes will link the north-west with the Canary Islands of Fuerteventura and Lanzarote.
The new flights bring the total number provided by easyJet at Liverpool Airport to 23, with three routes to Dubrovnik, Naples and Bordeaux having launched earlier this year.
EasyJet UK commercial manager Trevor Spinks said: "We've listened to customer feedback calling for more routes to the sun and are confident our two new routes to the Canaries will be a huge success.
"We plan to continue to expand the choice for our passengers in the north of England."
Some 2.4 million passengers have travelled from Liverpool to Europe with easyJet in the past year, the airline reports.
The new services to the Canary Islands will operate three times per week, with one-way prices starting from £39.99.
EasyJet runs more than 400 routes from 27 countries, serving around 44 million travellers each year.
