Low-cost airline Wizz Air has launched a new web check-in service for its customers.
The carrier has introduced the scheme for all flights leaving Budapest and is expected to roll it out to airports in the rest of Europe, including the UK, by spring 2010.
It is hoped by company bosses that the new web service will eliminate queuing and make travelling more convenient.
Gyorgy Abran, Wizz Air chief commercial officer, commented on the news: "All passengers have to do is to print their own boarding pass at home and present it directly at the gate or at the check-in desks, if they travel with luggage."
Travellers not checking in luggage will have an even smoother airport experience, being able to pass through security almost immediately.
Customers are able to check-in online from seven days to three hours before their flight is scheduled to take off and are still expected to arrive at the airport at least 30 minutes before.
Wizz Air operates all across Europe and at a number of UK airports, including Liverpool, Glasgow Prestwick, London Luton and Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood.
