Crystal Ski offers downloadable resort information pack

Crystal Ski, part of TUI Travel, will offer skiers and snowboarders an essential information pack that includes downloadable piste maps.

Travellers visiting a resort with Crystal Ski will have access to the pack up to nine days before their departure via their PC, BlackBerry or other web-enabled device.

Included in the pack will be contact details for the in-resort Crystal Ski team, daily weather reports, maps, live images, puzzles, games, restaurant and venue details and information for first time skiers and snowboarders.

Crystal Ski managing director Mathew Prior said: "Our research has shown us that customers want assistance within the first 24 hours of the holiday to get them skiing as smoothly and quickly as possible.

"The best way to achieve this is providing a personalised service tailored to our customers' needs."

Crystal Ski also runs a scheme that updates its in-resort customers with important information via text message.

TUI Travel also includes Thomson, which operates from 20 UK airports including Manchester, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Glasgow and London Luton.
