Lapland trips from UK airports launched

Day flights to Lapland are available from Doncaster Sheffield Airport this month, it has been revealed.
Tour operator Transun is offering day breaks to the real home of Father Christmas, including meals and activities.
Priced at £374 for adults and £324 for children, the trips take place in the arctic wilderness and include a private meeting with Father Christmas, a two-course meal and a meeting with huskies.
On top of this, customers travel across the frozen landscape on a reindeer sleigh ride, as well as being equipped with snowmobiles and thermal clothing.
The tours will begin on December 18th from Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
According to the company, it also offers breaks of up to four nights at the Davvi Arctic Lodge in Karesuando and the Arctic village of Hetta, departing from UK airports such as East Midlands, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff and London Gatwick.
Young adventurers are awarded with an Arctic Circle crossing certificate, a souvenir Lapland passport and a special gift.
