Manchester Airport is hoping to transform an old, decommissioned air traffic control tower into a bar.
Bosses are searching for an operator to run the facility, which is located near the terminal one building and boasts panoramic views of the whole airport.
It is thought the control tower will connect to the departures retail area on level two, while its main bar area will be located on level five, with a staircase and lift linking the two.
Andrew Harrison, commercial director at Manchester Airport, told Caterer Search: "We're looking to increase the range of audiences we cater for here at Manchester and we're hoping this becomes a venue to rival some of the city centre's most sophisticated venues."
Mr Harrison added that the airport has already had expressions of interest from a number of companies.
In related news, Manchester Airport was named UK airport of the year at the national British Travel Awards for the second year running earlier this month (November 5th).
