Ryanair offers Santa flight for cancer childrenBy James Wilson.

Ryanair and Leeds Bradford International Airport are to host a festive flying trip for young people battling cancer, it has been revealed.

The carrier has joined forced with Cancer Research UK Yorkshire and Martin's House Hospice to offer the former's nominated 'Little Stars' the chance to take to the skies in search of Santa.

Other families who deserve a break may be able to get involved by emailing the airport, but spaces are limited.

Nicki Embleton of Cancer Research UK stated: "Many of these children have never flown before or even being on holiday due to illness in their family, so it promises to make Christmas extra special for them".

The children will enjoy lunch at the airport, before taking off on a fun-filled flight that could feature an appearance from Father Christmas.

Passengers must have a valid form of photo identification to take part in the flight, the airport notes.

Leeds Bradford International Airport links Yorkshire to more than 70 international destinations, including Bourgas, Barbados, Dubrovnik and Avignon.
