Gatwick Airport gets the X FactorGatwick Airport played host to a show by two of this year's X Factor finalists this week as it launched a new scheme to raise money for charity.

The airport is launching its own Gatwick Factor initiative, which invites travellers passing through the transport hub this Christmas to step into a giant snow globe and show off their own musical talents.

Money raised from the project will be donated by Gatwick Airport to Great Ormond Street Hospital and the fundraising initiative was given a kick-start by the arrival of X Factor stars Stacey Solomon and Olly Murs.

The pair sang a medley of their top X Factor hits, after losing out to eventual winner Joe McElderry in last weekend's final.

Despite losing in the final, it has been reported that X Factor judge Simon Cowell has chosen to sign up Murs to his record label nonetheless.
