By Jeremy Price.
UK airline Flybe has announced extra seats on services to France after the cold weather caused the closure of the Channel Tunnel.
Eurostar revealed on Sunday (December 20th) that it would not operate services yesterday (Monday) due to condensation caused by heavy snowfall in northern France.
It is yet to resume full service and passengers have been advised to claim a refund on their tickets.
Flybe will operate larger aircraft on its services from Birmingham and Southampton to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for the rest of the week in order to cater for individuals still hoping to cross the Channel.
Chief commercial officer Mike Rutter said: "Flybe understands how important it is to get travellers to their destination over Christmas.
"There are a limited number of extra tickets available and to avoid further disappointment, I would advise passengers to book as soon as possible."
Flybe was recently named Air Transport World's 2009 regional airline of the year.
The carrier serves 13 countries.
