EasyJet offers special deal for stranded Flyglobespan customersBy Nick Jones.

Low-cost carrier easyJet has announced plans to help Flyglobespan customers who have been left stranded due to the collapse of the airline.

Travellers stuck in France, Swizerland, Portugal, Spain and the Balearics have access to a one-way ticket to any UK airport for a special price of £60.

Passengers in Madiera, Cyprus and the Canary Islands can return home for £80.

Individuals interested in the deal should phone the easyJet customer service number and quote their Flyglobespan booking reference.

The airline recently offered Flyglobespan customers the chance to travel on its routes, such as Malaga, Alicante or Faro to Glasgow and Geneva to Edinburgh.

Flyglobespan went into administration on December 16th after suffering liquidity issues, leading it to cancel all of its scheduled flights.

Customers who booked package holidays with the company before its financial collapse are likely to be protected under the Air Travel Organisers' Licensing scheme and should contact the Civil Aviation Authority.
