Monarch Airlines has announced a range of new flights to Turkey that are set to be launched in 2010.

Giving travellers easy access to popular regions of the country such as Bodrum, Antalya, Dalaman, Gumbet, Marmaris and Side, the carrier will operate four new routes and plans to expand the operations of a further four.

The UK airports hosting the new services are Luton, Birmingham and Manchester, while routes will be extended at Gatwick and Manchester.

Liz Savage, managing director of Monarch flights and holidays, said: "Demand for Monarch holidays to Turkey grew over 200 per cent in 2009 and is set to increase further in 2010.

"Turkey is an obvious destination of choice for 2010."

One way tickets start at £79, including tax and surcharges.

Monarch currently operates a fleet of 31 aircraft worldwide and serves around seven million passengers each year.

The carrier was recently named as leisure airline of the year in the travel industry awards.
