Flybe to launch summer service from Humberside Airport to Malaga
By Nick Jones.
Flybe has announced the launch of a summer service from Humberside Airport to Malaga for 2010.
According to the airline, the weekly service will link the two regions for the first time and is expected to commence operations on May 29th.
Running on Saturdays, the route will be serviced by a 118-seat Embraer 195 jet aircraft at a one-way price of £44.99 including tax and surcharges.
Mike Rutter, Flybe chief commercial officer, commented: "We're delighted to be adding this brand new service to Spain from Humberside and to increasing our presence at the airport and remain committed to expanding our services out of the region."
Mr Rutter added that passengers should book their summer holidays earlier rather than later to ensure they get the best deals possible.
The carrier expects the route to operate until September 11th, when its winter schedule will begin.
Humberside Airport will serve one million passengers every year by 2016, bosses estimate.
