Thomas Cook has launched an online check-in service for travellers flying from London Stansted Airport.
Customers can now choose between logging in at home before reaching the airport or queuing in the traditional manner at a check-in desk when they arrive.
While many airlines operating at Gatwick, Newcastle, Belfast and Leeds Bradford airports already offer the service, Thomas Cook is the first charter airline based at Stansted to do so.
Commenting on the online check-in facility, Joanna Wild, director of customer services at Thomas Cook, said: "We're always looking at ways that we can give our holidaymakers more control over their booking and this innovation gives people the freedom to chose where they sit as well as making the airport experience a quick and easy one."
Ms Wild added that the carrier plans to roll out the service to its full flight roster in the near future.
The company launched the same service from Belfast International Airport yesterday (January 13th).
The online service allows customers to choose seats or specify who they will be seated next to for £12 per person return.
