Ryanair announces £5 sale on flights from UK airportsBy James Wilson.

Budget carrier Ryanair has announced a sale on seats for travel on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays throughout February and March.

Beginning yesterday (January 14th), the £5 tickets are available from a number of UK airports, including London Heathrow and Luton, and can be booked online until midnight on Monday.

The deal includes some 500 European routes from the UK.

Ryanair chief executive Stephen McNamara said: "Only Ryanair sells Europe's lowest fares with a no fuel surcharge guarantee.

"In addition to our lowest fares, we also deliver the number one on-time performance across over 1,000 routes."

Mr McNamara added that passengers should book online via the airline's website to avoid disappointment.

The £5 tickets include all taxes and surcharges and travellers can avoid a discretionary fee by paying with MasterCard prepaid, foregoing priority boarding, checking in online and travelling with one piece of hand luggage.

Routes from London Stansted Airport could see passengers jet off to Grenoble, Toulon, Verona, Palermo, Szczecin, Eindhoven, Krakow or many other European destinations.
