Thomson adds video games to in-flight entertainment

Thomson Airways has announced that passengers travelling from 14 UK airports are now able to rent in-flight portable games machines.
According to the carrier, travellers can pay £7.50 for a PlayStation Portable (PSP) handheld gaming device that features a host of pre-installed video games and movies.
Individuals travelling from airports such as London Luton, Bristol International and Bournemouth can have a go at playing Buzz!, Ratchet and Clank or Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010, or watch a series of movies including X-Men Wolverine, Night at the Museum 2 and Taken.
Carl Gissing, director of customer services at Thomson Airways, said: "We are always looking for new ways to improve the customer experience onboard our flights.
"Introducing PSPs will give our customers the freedom of having their own handsets to play the latest games and watch movies of their choice."
The devices were made available on Thomson's mid-haul flights from Monday (January 25th).
According to the carrier, it offers routes from 20 UK airports to more than 80 international destinations.
