Robin Hood Airport offers tour of Italy
By Jeremy Price.
Robin Hood Airport in Doncaster has announced a new partnership that will see it offer travellers a week-long tour of seven Italian cities.
The deal is part of a collaboration with Newmarket Holidays and will see travellers fly to Verona or Venice, before taking a trip along Lake Garda to Siena, Florence, Assisi, Rome, San Gimignano and Chianciano.
Departing on September 5th 2010, the one-off trip is priced at £759 per person and includes three-star accommodation and catering.
Jodi Stow, marketing and communications manager at Robin Hood Airport, said: "The new flights give travellers in the region a fantastic chance to see the wonders of Lake Garda and all these beautiful cities.
"The airport is looking forward to adding Verona and Venice to its repertoire of excellent destinations."
Passengers who prefer a relaxed break that does not involved as much travelling could opt for a resort-based Lake Garda package with optional excursions, priced at £566 per person.
In related news, Irish carriers Aer Arann and Aer Lingus revealed this week (January 26th) they would host a new service linking Robin Hood Airport with Dublin from March 28th.
