Food retailer Pret A Manger is to open three new stores inside Birmingham International Airport, it has been confirmed.
The shops were secured through a tendering process that took place last year and will be located in terminal one departure lounge, terminal one landside and in an external kiosk.
Food will be prepared in a large kitchen at the airport and will be available between 04:00 and 23:00 GMT each day and around the clock during the busy summer months.
Andrew Walker, Pret A Manger managing director, commented: "We are really impressed by the vision of the team at Birmingham Airport and are looking forward to working in partnership to deliver a great service to their millions of passengers."
The airport is currently undergoing a £13 million redesign and work on the new retail units has already begun, with completion expected in May this year.
Pret A Manger aims to be represented in every major airport in the UK, the company said.
Around 567,000 travellers passed through Birmingham International's two terminals during November 2009.
