Low-cost airline Flybe has announced the launch of a new service linking Belfast City Airport and Humberside Airport.
The four-times-weekly route will begin on May 27th and is the first of its kind to link the two regional hubs.
Starting at £25.99 one-way including tax and surcharges, the route will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays on a 78-seat Q-400 aircraft.
Flybe chief commercial officer Mike Rutter said: "We're delighted to be adding yet another new service from Humberside and to be increasing the already extensive choice of affordable routes we operate from Belfast for our Northern Ireland travellers."
He added that the carrier will offer a total of 490 flights per week this summer.
The move was welcomed by Humberside Airport director Tony Lavan, who stated Belfast City Airport could be a popular destination for travellers.
Flybe is the largest scheduled airline at a number of UK airports, including Birmingham, Exeter, Cardiff, Belfast and Manchester.
