A new multi-million pound hotel could be built at Exeter International Airport if approved by councillors.
The 160-bed facility would offer accommodation to passengers and staff working at the nearby Flybe training academy, which is still in construction.
Although the hotel operator is yet to be revealed, Cardiff-based Boyes Rees Architects has drawn up detailed plans for the building, which would feature a restaurant, a bar, a pre-function area, an exercise room and two meeting rooms.
David Long of developer Doulton Estates told This is Exeter: "When the scheme receives detailed planning permission, this hotel will provide a range of much-needed facilities at Exeter airport to service passengers as well as businesses and employees based at the site."
He added that the four-star development has "potential".
The project is waiting for the backing of East Devon district council.
Flybe's £24 million training facility at Exeter Airport is currently under construction, having received a £4.3 million grant from the Learning and Skill Council's Capital Specialisation Fund and £2.8 million from the South West Regional Development Agency.
