Aer Arann announces Ireland to UK routesBy Jeremy Price.

Irish carrier Aer Arann has announced it will operate four new routes to the UK.

From May 20th, the airline will offer flights from Kerry to Manchester four times per week, from Derry to Manchester seven times per week and from Derry and Edinburgh six times per week.

On top of this, it will replace its Donegal route to Glasgow-Prestwick with a direct route to Glasgow Airport on March 28th, as well as running its Derry to Dublin service at the earlier time of 07:40 GMT.

The changes are the result of customer demand for more flexible services from Ireland to the UK.

Aer Arann corporate affairs director Andrew Kelly said: "The routes are proof of our commitment to serving these regions as well as a sign of our growth in the Irish and UK markets."

He added that the carrier looks forward to serving more passengers on its new services.

The regional airline offers some 600 flights per week from Ireland to the UK and Europe.
