Ryanair launches £5 sale

Low-cost carrier Ryanair has announced a sale on seats for mid-week travel during April and May.
According to the airline, it has released one million tickets at £5 for flights taking off on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays, excluding Easter week.
The deal applies to more than 500 European Ryanair routes from airports such as Birmingham, Heathrow and Luton.
Passengers who pay by MasterCard prepaid, forgo priority booking, check-in online and only travel with hand luggage are entitled to the £5 fare.
Ryanair chief executive Stephen McNamara said: "Only Ryanair sells Europe's lowest fares with a no fuel surcharge guarantee.
"These seats can only be booked until midnight this Thursday (March 11th) and are sure to be snapped up fast so we urge passengers to book them."
Ryanair's passenger numbers rose to 4.37 million last month, a six per cent rise on February 2009 figures.
A total of 65.9 million passengers travelled with the carrier in the year ending February 28th.
