Corsican Places has announced the first scheduled route from the UK to the Mediterranean island of Corsica.
Teaming up with Titan Airways, the company will offer the weekly flights from London Stansted Airport to Calvi from May 16th to September 26th.
It will be serviced by a Boeing 737-300 and will afford travellers a rapid link to La Balagne and the north-westerly regions of the island.
Passengers are offered an extended baggage allowance of 23kg per person and pre-allocating seating is free of charge.
Corsican Places commercial manager Paul Kenny stated: "Having a flight service into Calvi will benefit them immensely, with just a ten minute drive from the airport to the picturesque port, as well a short distance from the best of La Balagne where we have a great choice of accommodation."
The company is also offering seven-night self-catering package holidays in Corsica from £349 per person this summer.
Corsican Places is based in Hampshire and was set up some 23 years ago.
