A new domestic route from Edinburgh Airport to Kent International Airport has so far proved a success, budget airline Flybe reports.
According to the company, the daily service has been so popular that many of the flights are already half full.
Beginning on May 27th, the route could become even more attractive to travellers during the summer months.
Mike Rutter, Flybe chief commercial officer, said: "We're really pleased with the level of online bookings and strong passenger interest shown in the route in such a short time."
Matt Clarke, Kent International Airport chief executive, added that the route could increase visitors' spending in both destinations, labelling it "a welcome boost".
The flights will be priced at £24.99 one-way including tax and surcharges and run between May 27th and October 30th, serviced by a fuel efficient 78-seat Bombadier Q-400 aircraft.
Flybe was recently the only UK airline to appear in the Forbes 2009 World's Most On-Time Airlines list.
