EasyJet offers flights to BA customers affected by strikesBy James Wilson.

EasyJet has announced it will again offer a rescue service for passengers left grounded by striking British Airways (BA) employees in the UK between March 27th and 30th.

According to the carrier, it will offer BA gold card holders the chance to travel from London Gatwick Airport during the strike days with a free speedy boarding card.

BA customers scheduled to fly on the days of the industrial action can collect a one-month card from the easyJet sales desk in the departure hall on their day of travel, while those wishing to travel from other airports should attend the carrier's speedy boarding desks.

Paul Simmons, easyJet UK general manager, said: "We thought it was only right to repeat the offer and to give passengers travelling through Gatwick an extra incentive to carry on flying with easyJet even after the strike is over."

According to BA, 50 per cent of its shorthaul and 70 per cent of its longhaul flights will operate as usual, while all services from London City and London Gatwick airports will be unaffected.
