Marks and Spencer is to open a Simply Food store at Birmingham Airport this year, the retailer has revealed.
According to the company, the move is part of a £13 million investment in improving facilities by the airport at both of its terminal buildings.
The shop will be located in the central arrivals area of terminal one and is expected to open in December 2010.
Upper Crust and Pret A Manger also recently announced similar plans to open stores at the airport.
Richard Gill, head of commercial at Birmingham Airport, commented: "We are committed to improving passenger experience and attracting quality brands like Marks and Spencer Simply Food as part of our development strategy.
"We want the holiday experience to start and continue as soon as travellers arrive or return."
The shop will operate under a franchise agreement between Marks and Spencer and SSP UK.
Over ten million travellers pass through the gates at Birmingham Airport each year.
