European airline Blue Air has launched new flights from London Luton Airport to Romania.

Beginning yesterday (March 28th), the new services include daily flights to Bucharest, three weekly flights to Bacau and four weekly flights to Sibiu.

Serviced by Boeing 737 aircraft, the routes are expected to appeal to a wide range of passengers and can be booked via the carrier's website.

According to the company, customers looking for a cultured city with a busy nightlife, high quality restaurants and modern shopping malls could take an interest in a holiday in Bucharest, while Bacau is known for its mountainous surroundings.

Simon Harley, London Luton Airport airline manager, commented: "We are delighted to announce further expansion with Blue Air at the airport.

"Low fares flying continues to make business and leisure travel increasingly accessible to millions of Europeans and the launch of these new services provides yet more choice for our passengers."

Other carriers that operate services from the airport include Wizz Air, easyJet, Ryanair, Thomson and Monarch.

Blue Air also operates at Dublin Airport.
