Low-cost carrier Flybe has announced a new route linking Humberside Airport with George Best Belfast City Airport.

The new route will operate four times per week from May 27th and will be served by a new 78-seat Q-400 aircraft with 2x2 seating configurations for heightened comfort.

Running on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, the flights will be priced from £25.99 one-way, including tax and surcharges.

Flybe chief commercial officer Mike Rutter said: "We're delighted to be adding yet another new service from Belfast, thereby increasing the already extensive choice of affordable routes we operate for our Northern Ireland travellers which, during summer 2010, will now number up to 490 per week."

He continued by urging customers to book early to avoid disappointment.

The move takes Flybe's total number of routes from Belfast City Airport to 15.

Flybe is currently offering one-way flights from Belfast to Birmingham for £23.99 for travel on April 17th.
