Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines is set to launch new flights from Birmingham International Airport to Antalya in Turkey.
Running every Sunday at 17:30 GMT from May 2nd, the route will link the British city with the Mediterranean destination known for its sunshine, beaches and wealth of activities for holidaymakers.
The airline gave away Turkish delight to passengers at Birmingham International Airport last week to celebrate the announcement.
Sertac Haybat, Pegasus Airlines general manager, said: "We are delighted to add new direct flight routes to our summer timetable in response to ever-growing demand from our British customers."
Birmingham Airport chief executive Paul Kehoe added that the country could be appealing as a holiday destination since its lies outside the Eurozone, making it "fantastic value for money".
The flights will operate once a week between May 2nd and October 17th 2010.
Pegasus Airlines has served over 23 million passengers since it launched in 2005.
It also operates flights from London Gatwick and Stansted airports.
