Night flights from Leeds Bradford International Airport to Pakistan have breached planning rules designed to protect local residents on many occasions, a council report indicates.
Councillors will consider details of 32 flights to Islamabad since May 2008 that exceeded night noise quotas imposed upon the airport.
According to the report, 15 flights breached planning conditions between May and October 2008, while between winter 2008 and summer 2009 ten Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) services also did so.
The report states: "The airport had encountered a few problems with the PIA flight that were beyond its control, such as the late arrival of the aircraft, technical problems and security incidents."
Late departure of the 21:00 GMT service to Islamabad was also attributed to bad weather conditions on several occasions.
Councillors are expected to request an update from the airport about its planning rules this Thursday (April 15th) in order to prevent future breaches.
In other news, Flybe recently announced it would increase capacity on its Leeds Bradford flights during strikes by rail worker unions on April 6th.
