Manx2 to offer Isle of Man shuttle service

By Jeremy Price.
Manx2 has announced it will operate a shuttle service from the Isle of Man to Blackpool and Belfast airports as soon as UK airspace is reopened to non-emergency flights, the BBC reports.
The carrier, based on the Isle of Man, made the comments yesterday (April 15th) after a volcanic eruption in Iceland caused the National Air Traffic Service to impose restrictions on all flights due to the danger posed to aircraft by ash.
According to the organisation, UK airspace will be shut until at least 19:00 GMT today.
Manx2 chairman Noel Hayes said: "All Manx2 passengers booked to any other destinations today or tomorrow will be able to transfer on to these services free of charge and all remaining seats will be available for purchase on our website."
He added that travellers who had their journeys disrupted by the eruption will be able to change to another flight, even if the shuttle service does not operate.
Manx2 offers regular services from the Isle of Man to Belfast, Blackpool, East Midlands, Leeds-Bradford and Newcastle airports, among others.
