Heathrow Airport has launched a new application to help passengers navigate the facility and check the status of flights.
Available for Apple iPod and iPod Touch, Google Android and Vodafone 360 models, the app enables travellers to book transport to the airport and access details about checking in.
The premium pro version - usually £1.79 per year but free until the end of May - allows them to track flights, check weather reports and see flight schedules up to six months in advance.
Developed by Golden Gekko, the app is also linked directly to the airport's Twitter feed for by-the-minute updates.
Stephen Glenfield, online development manager at Heathrow, commented: "We want to make it easy for our passengers to use Heathrow and putting the airport into their hands does this."
The app will soon be extended to the BlackBerry and other Java-based smartphones.
It could appeal to the 65.9 million travellers who pass through London Heathrow Airport each year.
