European airline Wizz Air has announced plans to increase the frequency of a number of its routes.
Making the announcement at a press conference yesterday (April 25th), the carrier stated it will add a fourth Airbus A320 to its Budapest base, increasing flights between London Luton Airport and Budapest from two to three on July 24th.
Furthermore, the company plans to offer 11 weekly flights between Brussels Charleroi and Eindhoven, up from seven.
Wizz Air chief executive Jozsef Varadi commented: "Recently we have been experiencing a strong shift of customer preference towards Wizz Air in Hungary resulting from our own expansion in a declining market as well as the weaknesses of competing airlines."
He added that the company expects a 20 per cent increase in passenger traffic at Budapest by the end of 2010.
One-way tickets start from 22.49 (£20), including tax and surcharges.
Wizz Air flies from London Luton, Bristol International, Doncaster Sheffield, Liverpool and Glasgow Prestwick airports.
